Mallory and Eric’s Great Diamond Island wedding was the perfect mix of coastal charm and fall warmth — the kind of weekend that reminds you why Maine weddings are so unforgettable. It all kicked off with a lively welcome party at the Shipyard, where guests gathered the night before for good drinks, laughter, and that unmistakable “we’re in for an amazing weekend” energy.
The next morning, the air was crisp and clear — the perfect fall day that still carried a hint of summer warmth. I (Clay Taylor Photo) hopped on the ferry over to Great Diamond Island, camera in hand and excitement in the air. The island felt peaceful yet full of anticipation as family and friends arrived for the celebration ahead.
Mallory and Eric shared their first look at the Point, surrounded by trees with the softest golden light filtering through. It was one of those quiet, beautiful moments that set the tone for the whole day. From there, guests gathered at the Great Diamond Island Inn for a ceremony that felt both timeless and intimate — with ocean views and a gentle fall breeze.
During cocktail hour, guests sipped from The Roaming Speakeasy — a stylish mobile bar serving beer on tap and craft cocktails that perfectly fit the laid-back island vibe. Laughter carried through the air as everyone mingled under the trees before moving to the tented reception space that had been completely transformed with elegant seating, lush florals, and rows of glowing candles.
As the band struck up and the dance floor filled, guests enjoyed one of the most unique (and delicious) desserts: gelato from Gelato Fiasco. It was the perfect Maine touch — sweet, fun, and totally unexpected for an October evening.
The night carried on to an after-party inside the Inn, where the celebration continued well into the night. For Mallory and Eric, their Great Diamond Island wedding weekend brought summer warmth to fall — filled with ocean breezes, incredible food and drinks, and all the love in the world.
